Dr. Alice Reznickova is an interdisciplinary scientist with the Food and Environment Program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. In her role, she employs methods across social sciences to produce actionable knowledge to support policies for sustainable and equitable food systems. Her expertise includes nutrition security, food access, equity in farming, and others.
Prior to joining UCS, Dr. Reznickova was an industry assistant professor and Director of Sustainable Urban Environments at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. She collaboratively developed a census and a map of urban agriculture in New York City, studied sustainable food systems in New York State, and worked with student teams participating in the C40 Student Reinventing Cities competition. In her previous roles, she served as a faculty in Environmental Studies and Director of Sustainability at Ripon College, and Visiting Assistant Professor of Sustainability at Emory University.
Dr. Reznickova earned her BA in chemistry from Smith College and MS in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds a PhD in environment & resources from The Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
