James Andrews

Professor, Physics, retired  

James Andrews is an attorney, currently volunteering at the Legal Aid Justice Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. He and his wife, poet Nin Andrews, live on a farm just outside of Charlottesville. They also spend the better part of their summers in Maine, where Jim is on the executive committee of the board of Schoodic Institute, whose mission is to advance ecosystem science and learning for all ages through a unique partnership with Acadia National Park. Jim is also professor emeritus and retired acting chair of physics at Youngstown State University where he worked primarily in applied optics and advancing active learning strategies in physics education.
